Housekeeping Leadership

As a leader in Housekeeping you will positively lead the Housekeeping department with energy and enthusiasm. Your role will be to provide exceptional service and work as part of a team to achieve great success and deliver lasting memories to the guest.

Expected Hourly Wage: $15.00 – $23.00/hour (depending experience and position)

Work Schedule: Hours are usually 8:00 or 9:00am – 4:00 or 5:00pm, and can fluctuate seasonally

Level of English Required: High to Advanced

Start Dates: May/June (Summer), October/November (Winter)

Job Duties

  • Offer professional, friendly and engaging service
  • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
  • Lead and supervise the day-to-day operation of the department to ensure service standards are followed
  • Handle Guest concerns and react quickly, logging and notifying the proper areas
  • Actively participate in daily briefing, daily warm up and department meetings
  • Ensure Room Attendants are informed daily about priorities in their section
  • Follow departmental policies and procedures
  • Report necessary maintenance items
  • Coaching colleagues
  • Follow all safety and sanitation policies
  • Follow departmental policies, procedures and service standards
  • Other duties as required

Required Experience

  • Previous housekeeping experience is required, leadership experience is preferred
  • Ability to work in stressful, high-pressure situations
  • Proven training skills and ability to convey clear instructions/information
  • Experience with a Hotel Property Management System is an asset
  • Strong decision-making, organizational and communication skills
  • Strong leadership skills, positive team player
