Eligibility:

To be eligible for the Culinary Francophone Program, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • English Communication Skills: No formal English test is required. Please note that all interviews will be conducted in English, so applicants must be comfortable communicating in English in a professional setting.
  • French Language Proficiency: Accepted proof may include:
    • NCLC Level 5 or higher in speaking and listening, demonstrated through an approved test such as TEF Canada (Test d’Évaluation de Français) or TCF Canada (Test de connaissance du français pour le Canada). Language test results must be less than two (2) years old at the time of application.
    • Completion of a post-secondary education program fully conducted in French, supported by official educational credentials.
  • Culinary Experience: At least one year of practical experience in the culinary or hospitality industry, at the Commis Chef level or higher.
  • Education: A diploma or degree in Culinary Arts or Hospitality.
  • Valid Passport: A passport that remains valid for the duration of your employment in Canada.
  • Police Clearance: Submit Police Certificates from any countries where you have lived for 6 months or more since your 18th birthday.
