Please refer to this blog post for more information. Our Working Holiday Resort Job is designed for first-time applicants that come to Canada under regular IEC participation.

Program Overview

The Canada Working Holiday Resort Job Program gives you the opportunity to spend up to a year working and living in one of Canada’s most famous resorts. Our team will help you secure ski resort jobs in Canada, even summer season resort jobs too! We work with ski resort employers in Whistler, Banff, Jasper, Lake Louise, Sun Peaks, Vancouver Island, and the Okanagan. Our Canada Working Holiday programs are open to most countries for a duration of 12 months. This can be extended up to 24 months for certain countries.

As a participant, you will receive a guaranteed job before arriving in Canada. We provide thorough pre-departure and arrival orientations, interview preparation, resume revision, subsidized staff accommodation, visa assistance, and much more. Working at a summer or ski resort in Canada is one of the best ways to explore our great outdoors while earning good money. Believe us when we tell you there is a lot to see. Working Holiday Seasons in Canada

Canada’s summer season begins in May or June and lasts until late September or early October. Summer resorts are an excellent opportunity to try many adventure activities. You can experience mountain biking, swimming, hiking, horseback riding, ATV excursions, zip-lining, whitewater rafting, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, rock climbing, and more.

The winter season in Canada begins in October or November and can last until April or May. This is when the ski resorts really come to life. Spend your time after work skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, tubing, hiking, ice-skating, snowmobiling, cross country skiing, dog sledding, and much more.

  • MUST be from one of the IEC Countries and qualify for the IEC Working Holiday Visa
  • Must have at least an intermediate English language level
  • Available for a minimum of 4 months


Program Process



Complete the free online application form which includes a copy of your resume.


Skype Admittance Consultation

You will partake in a free Skype consultation. You will receive the report with the result of the consultation. This email will serve as a confirmation letter of your program acceptance.


Program Registration

Once the program deposit is paid your registration is official.


Visa Application

You can apply for the relevant permits and visa. Stepwest can assist you with this if needed.


Final Payment

Once permits/visa are granted, the remaining program fee is paid.


Placement Process

6 weeks prior to the work experience start date, Stepwest will begin the placement process. A Stepwest placement coordinator will revise your resume, conduct interview preparation, arrange job interview(s) and confirm your job placement.


Arrival Orientation

You arrive in Canada and attend orientation at Stepwest or go directly to resort.
