Housekeeping Leadership

On our housekeeping leadership program, lead the housekeeping department in the finest hotels and resorts in British Columbia and Alberta, and live and work in Canada’s most beautiful destinations.

Job Summary

As a leader in housekeeping you will positively lead the housekeeping department with energy and enthusiasm. Your role will be to provide exceptional service and work as part of a team to achieve great success and deliver lasting memories to the guest.

  • Expected Hourly Wage: $15.00 – $23.00/hour (depending experience and position)
  • Work Schedule: Hours are usually 8:00 or 9:00am – 4:00 or 5:00pm, and can fluctuate seasonally
  • Level of English Required: High to Advanced
  • Start Dates: May/June (Summer), October/November (Winter)

Job Duties

  • Offer professional, friendly and engaging service
  • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
  • Lead and supervise the day-to-day operation of the department to ensure service standards are followed
  • Handle guest concerns and react quickly, logging and notifying the proper areas
  • Actively participate in daily briefing, daily warm up and department meetings
  • Ensure room attendants are informed daily about priorities in their section
  • Follow departmental policies and procedures
  • Report necessary maintenance items
  • Coaching colleagues
  • Follow all safety and sanitation policies
  • Follow departmental policies, procedures and service standards
  • Other duties as required

Required Experience

  • Previous housekeeping experience is required, leadership experience is preferred
  • Ability to work in stressful, high-pressure situations
  • Proven training skills and ability to convey clear instructions/information
  • Experience with a Hotel Property Management System is an asset
  • Strong decision-making, organizational and communication skills
  • Strong leadership skills, positive team player
